Printed Books or e-Books? by Marty Morris

In my research about the future of reading, I stumbled upon an article from "the oldest newspaper in Illinois" as the top line informed me. The article has an interesting point about how eventually convenience generally wins out. For example, people used to write stories, laws, etc. on tablets. Then, starting at the time with Julius Caesar some binding together papyrus that they had wrote the information on to create a codex. While at first people were wary of the writing on the papyrus, they eventually realized that it was lighter and more transportable. Convenience won out. The author of this article does not believe this will happen with print books and e-Books soon because the technology is still new and there are still many hold outs that don't like e-Books at all and a lot of people who are simply indifferent one way or the other.
